Today there are over half a million unfilled jobs in information technology. Along with 19 other communities, Pittsburgh is attempting to correct the tech supply-demand misalignment by creating innovative tools to train and connect young adults with tech jobs.

As players progress through the game’s 36 levels, they are gradually exposed to potential careers that utilize the same skills needed to complete each level. This exposure demonstrates the link between gameplay and future jobs in technology. As one of the organizations participating in President Obama’s TechHire initiative, Partner4Work plans to provide a systematic approach to connect job seekers with tech-related jobs in the Pittsburgh area that do not require a four-year degree.
